Couple charged after 7-month-old baby was exposed to drugs

MARION, S.C. (WMBF) – Authorities said two people are facing charges after a child was exposed to drugs in the Pee Dee.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Kimberly Wilson and 31-year-old Christopher Lester are each charged with unlawful endangerment of a child.

Deputies said Lester and Wilson allegedly endangered a 7-month-old child in October by “exposing the child to illegal narcotics as evidenced by a positive drug screen.”

Further details were not immediately available.

Records show Lester and Wilson were booked into the Marion County Detention Center on Tuesday. As of Tuesday around 5 p.m., they are both being held without bond set.
