Detroit High School Sports Awards, Spring Nominees

The Detroit High School Sports Awards, presented by Detroit area Honda dealerships, are proud to announce the nominees for each of the spring sports contested last season. Winners will be announced during the live show on June 18 at the Fillmore Detroit.

The show is produced in partnership with the US Army. The show’s featured speaker is Detroit native Donovan Peoples-Jones.

The Detroit High School Sports Awards, one of 20 regional shows held across the United States, is a nine-month student-athlete recognition program that will culminate with a red carpet show this spring. The show will recognize athletes, coaches and teams from throughout the greater Detroit area who play in sports sanctioned by the Michigan High School Athletic Association.

During the live show, these nominees will be honored, along with the Fall and Winter Sports Player of the Year. The awards ceremony will also include other high-profile awards for the on- and off-field accomplishments of student-athletes, coaches and teams, including the Courage Award and Coaches of the Year, Team the year and the athlete boys and girls. award of the year.
