Following the 16th Congressional District race

Voters in Westchester County are closely watching the outcome of the 16th Congressional District race.

That district covers Lower Westchester County and part of the Bronx.

Democratic County Executive George Latimer faces Republican challenger Dr. Miriam Levitt Flisser.

Latimer captured the Democratic nominee’s seat after a fierce primary against Rep. Jamaal Bowman.

Levitt Flisser previously ran for this seat as the Republican candidate against Bowman in 2022 and lost. Her platform includes stricter screening of incoming migrants and boosting American jobs.

Latimer focused on protecting reproductive freedoms and investing in infrastructure.
