The Slippery Rock University Board of Trustees will meet June 13-14 at the Russell Wright Alumni House and Conference Center.

SLIPPERY ROCK, PA.— The Slippery Rock University Board of Trustees will meet June 13-14 at the Russell Wright Alumni House and Conference Center. Committee meetings are scheduled for both days. The quarterly business meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. on June 14. For those who wish to attend meetings but cannot do so in person, a Zoom option is available with advance registration. All meetings are open to the public.

  • Scheduled committee meetings include:
  • Academic and student affairs, 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m., June 13.
  • Finance and administrative affairs, 3:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m., June 13.
  • Governance, 8:30 a.m.-9 a.m., June 14.
  • University Advancement, 9 a.m.-10 a.m., June 14.

The Academic and Student Affairs Committee agenda includes presentations from the following administrators from their respective areas:

  • Michael Zieg, dean and vice president for academic affairs.
  • Anthony Jones, Head of Diversity.
  • Michael May, interim vice president for enrollment management.
  • David Wilmes, director of student affairs.

The agenda of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Committee includes:

  • A presentation on Facilities Asset Management by Talis Vitols and Luke Cantrell of Gordian (Sightlines).
  • A financial update from Carrie Birckbichler, Vice President of Finance and Administration.
  • Items of information regarding CliftonLarsonAllen’s audit department, complete planning process, contracts, purchasing, financial reporting, facilities and planning projects, human resources personnel items, and a divisional report .

The governance committee agenda includes:

  • Appointment of board officers for the 2024-25 academic year.
  • Meeting dates for 2024-25
  • Information regarding upcoming events and a review of council regulations.

The University Advancement Committee agenda includes presentations from the following administrators from their respective fields:

  • Erin Bryer, interim vice president for university advancement.
  • Kelly Bailey, director of alumni engagement.
  • Dave Hollenbaugh, Executive Director of the SRU Foundation, Inc., along with Mark Palmer, Chairman of the SRU Foundation Board of Directors, provide the foundation’s quarterly report.

At the Quarterly Business Meeting, the Board will hear the President’s report, receive reports from its standing committees, and review contracts, active facilities and planning projects, human resources personnel items, budget/financial updates and divisional reports.

Planned actions include:

  • Voting on board officers for the 2024-25 academic year.
  • Vote on board meeting dates for the 2024-25 academic year.
