NEET 2024 Results Update: Supreme Court to hear petition seeking cancellation of NEET-UG 2024 exam following alleged paper leak

In a significant development, the Supreme Court will tomorrow hear a petition seeking cancellation of the NEET-UG 2024 exam due to allegations of paper leak. A vacation bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta will preside over the case.

Amid growing demands to cancel the NEET 2024 results, the National Testing Agency (NTA) of the Ministry of Education held a press conference on Saturday to address the situation. They raised concerns about the unusually high number of candidates scoring top marks and securing top ranks.

The NTA director general announced that a four-member high-level committee is currently investigating the matter, which involves around 1,600 candidates from six different centers. The decision on what action to take, including a possible review, will be based on the findings of the commission.

The controversy, fueled by the NEET-UG results released on June 4, has caused unrest among medical aspirants and the public. Many are calling for the exam to be canceled and a retest conducted in order to maintain the fairness and integrity of the process.
