At a time when exit polls had predicted a tight race between former US President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the ‘satta bazar’ seems to have got their predictions right. The US political betting platforms preferred Republican candidate Donald Trump over Harris and according to the latest trends, the former US president is ahead with 213 votes.

Polymarket, a popular political betting platform, showed Trump’s implied odds of beating Harris at around 61% shortly before polls closed, but that figure has since risen to 71%.

Similarly, Trump’s chances of securing the presidency in Kalshi rose to 67% from 57% before polls closed. Meanwhile, Trump shares on PredictIt are now trading at 65 cents, up from 54 cents earlier in the day.

Prediction markets have become increasingly popular this election cycle, allowing users to place bets on various election outcomes. Here’s a look at how these markets are doing as polls close.

At the time of publishing this story, Trump is ahead by 213 votes, while Kamala Harris trails by 99 votes. Remarkably, the exit polls had predicted a tight race between the two.

Exit polls showed most voters favored Harris, 59, over her Republican rival. According to an NBC News exit poll, 48 percent of voters nationwide had a positive opinion of Harris, while 44 percent supported Trump.
