Juventus not giving up on signing of £50m Aston Villa ace, offering three players to try to seal deal

HITC understands that Juventus are not giving up on the idea of signing a key Premier League player this summer.

Juventus are set for a vital summer with former Bologna man Thiago Motta hoping to turn around the club’s fortunes following his appointment.

Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has been linked with a move away from the club and HITC understands the Italian giants are not giving up on the idea of signing the 26-year-old Brazilian.

The Midlands club have set a price tag of £50million for the former Manchester City midfielder, but it is a price the Italian giants are unwilling to pay.

Juventus’ plan

HITC understands that Juve have a host of players they hope to offer to the Premier League club in the hope of signing the Brazilian.

Juventus have a fixed budget and are already making progress with deals for Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, Atalanta’s Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners and Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori – who follows head coach Motta in Turin.

HITC previously reported that the Midlands club were keen to offer the 26-year-old a new contract, but it is unclear whether they would accept it.

Juventus are hoping to complete the signing of the midfielder who was vital for the Midlands club last season and have a few names in mind they would be willing to offer to Unai Emery’s side.

Juventus’ offer

HITC understands that the Italian giants have discussed a deal with the Midlands club with Weston McKennie, Samuel Iling-Junior, Mathias Soule and Dean Huijsen among those mentioned in a potential deal.

We previously reported that Villa have held talks to sign American midfielder McKennie and that the former Leeds United midfielder could be a key signing at Villa Park.

The Italian giants are reportedly ready to sell the American this summer and McKennie joining the Premier League club this summer would make a lot of sense.
