19-Year-Old Found Dead After Shooting In Coconut Creek, Former Director Says; police looking for suspect – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

COCONUT CREEK, FLA. (WSVN) – A person was shot and killed in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Coconut Creek on Tuesday evening.

Heavy police activity was seen near Lions Road as part of an investigation.

The victim is believed to be 19-year-old Bryce McFadden, a former student of Youth Under Construction.

The principal, Delvin King, who identified the victim, said McFadden told 7News that McFadden had graduated at the top of his class and wanted to continue his education.

Police set up a perimeter to search for the shooter, told residents to stay put and stopped others from entering the complex for hours.

The perimeter was lifted at 9:30 p.m

No one is in custody at this time.
