Readers respond: Trans athlete competition is unfair

It seems we have lost all logic and sense of fair play when it comes to those who identify as girls or women in sports (“Letter from the Editor: Trans Teen Athlete’s Story Poses Ethical Dilemma », June 2). The column is so strange. Where is the fairness when a man born male competes with girls and women? No amount of discussion can justify this type of injustice.

I don’t see any fairness or logic in a young girl working her entire young life – training and putting in the time to be the best – just to have her chances destroyed by someone who was born male. Title IX for girls is now officially a joke, and fairness for women has been thrown out the window.
