Voter goes viral for saying he voted for Harris so his girlfriend wouldn’t break up with him

A voter inside North Carolina claimed he made an appointment at the last minute to vote for vice president Kamala Harris because his girlfriend threatened to break up with him and later revealed he was lying.

CNN was interviewing voters who had just finished voting in the swing state when they interviewed a man named Bryan Flores, who chose to vote for Harris.

“So I didn’t vote at all until my girlfriend blew up my phone and told me to vote,” Flores said. “And if I didn’t, she would break up with me, so now I’m here.”

When pressed about whether his girlfriend was serious, Flores admitted that he “made that up” simply because “it’s funny to say that.” He did confirm that his girlfriend had asked him to vote for Harris.

The voter said he visited the polling station around 5 p.m. and it took him “about two hours” to cast his vote.

Before Election Day, As of Sunday, a total of 4,465,548 early votes had been casteasily beating the previous record of 3.6 million early votes in 2020. The results were promising for former President Donald Trump, with registered Republicans accounting for 33.3% of the vote, compared to 32.4% for registered Democrats.
