Oppo unveils ‘monsoon-ready’ F27 Pro+ rugged phone in India

Oppo unveiled the new F27 Pro+ on Thursday (June 13), touted as one of the most durable phones in India.

The company calls the Oppo F27 Pro+ a “monsoon-ready” rugged phone. It has the highest certifications for dust penetration and water resistance: IP66, IP68 and IP69. It repels all types of dust and is resistant to high pressure water jets and hot water (up to 80 degrees Celsius).

In addition, it is perfectly protected against falls and shocks. It benefits from Swiss SGS Premium Performance Drop Resistance 5-star certification and military MIL-STD-810H certification (m516.8 standard). No other rival brand handset has such capabilities.

The Oppo F27 Pro+ also features a leather back panel and on top of that, the company has incorporated a siloxane coating for protection against water damage and repels any type of stains, including paint stains. sweat-induced fingerprints.

In addition, the company has incorporated internal cushioning materials such as sponges to improve drop resistance, as well as high-strength and high thermal conductivity aluminum alloy to protect the motherboard.

The screen features Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to protect against scratches.

It flaunts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2412×1080p) AMOLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and supports a maximum brightness of 950 nits.

It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, a Type-C port, and dual SIM slots.

Inside, the device houses a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7050 octa-core processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, ColorOS 14 based on Android 14, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage and a 5,000 mAh battery with 67 W charger.

The Oppo F27 Pro+ comes with a dual camera module: 64MP main (ƒ/1.7 aperture) and a 2MP (f/2.2) depth sensor with LED flash. On the front, it houses an 8MP (f/2.2) camera.

The company offers the device in two colors: Midnight Black and Twilight Pink. It is available in two configurations – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – for Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999, respectively.

Oppo F27 Pro+ against competitors

It will face, among others, the Samsung Galaxy A35, the Galaxy XCover 7, the OnePlus Nord 4 CE (test) and Nothing Phone (2a).
