Tammy Abraham offered to return to Premier League, Roma awaiting offers

Tammy Abraham could be offered a return to the Premier League this summer, with a number of clubs keeping tabs on the striker’s situation.

Roma are preparing for offers for former Chelsea striker Abraham, who has returned to fitness after 10 months out with a knee injury.

West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are all on the lookout for strikers this summer and all know Abraham could be achievable.

Spurs are yet to make a firm decision on whether or not to move for Abraham, while Villa will likely only begin seriously trying to fill the position if Jhon Duran completes his move to Chelsea.

There is interest from Abraham from clubs elsewhere in Europe and the 26-year-old is expected to be presented with a range of options.

Abraham scored as a substitute after returning from his long injury and was prolific at different points in his career in Italy and England.

During a season on loan at Villa, Abraham scored 26 goals in 40 games before returning to Chelsea and scoring 18 goals then 12 goals during a campaign in which he was sidelined by Thomas Tuchel before being sold to Roma.

In his first campaign in Italy, Abraham scored a career-high 27 goals in 53 games, before netting nine times in his second season.

Abraham has two years remaining on his contract with Roma and has won 11 England caps, scoring three goals for his country.

Sources in Italy estimate that Abraham could be available for around £20million, which could represent excellent value in a summer when so many clubs are constrained by profit and sustainability rules.

But there is not yet believed to be a fixed price for the striker, with Roma facing their own Financial Fair Play issues and potentially needing to raise funds.

Romelu Lukaku’s season-long loan is over and Roma cannot currently afford to pay Chelsea’s £37 million valuation.
