The Bayerische Staatsoper announces a change of conductor for “La Cenerentola”

The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced a change of conductor for two performances of “La Cenerentola”.

Antonello Allemandi will conduct the opera on June 14 and 19, succeeding Ivor Bolton who retired from the production.

He leads a cast that features Lawrence Brownlee, Isabel Leonard, Nikolay Borchev and Roberto Tagliavini, among others. Antonio Fogliani is still expected to direct the performance on June 16, 2024.

Allemandi has conducted productions at companies such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Opernhaus in Zurich, the Opéra National de Paris, the Washington National Opera, the Deutsche Oper de Berlin, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, ​​the New National Theater in Tokyo, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the Festival Verdi di Parma, among others.
