PIONEER VILLAGE – A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in vandalism at a local cemetery.

According to a Brookland Cemetery official, two vehicles entered the cemetery, located between Hebron Lane and John Harper Road, last Wednesday.

The vehicles entered after the office closed on Wednesday and before staff arrived the next morning.

Although much of the damage appears to be due to grass, vehicles doing donuts in the yard, at least one headstone was moved.

The Pioneer Village Police Department is investigating. A $1,000 reward has been offered by the cemetery for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.

Anyone with information should contact the Pioneer Village Police Department at 957-3800.
