The obscene message came as an unpleasant surprise for the poor woman.

A woman was left dismayed after finding a message written by a mechanic after sending her car to the garage.

Hidden notes are often a kind message from loved ones, found in your lunchbox when you were at school or from your partner on your first day at work.

But this incident proves that not all hidden notes are kind, as this woman was the target of a brutal reprimand after sending her car in for a simple filter change.

The woman’s partner posted the incident on social media and it quickly went viral as other mechanics spoke out about the incident.

They posted the message on Reddit, captioning the photo: “My fiancé’s air filter installed during his service last year…”

Upon closer inspection, the filter had a written message: “You are fat.”

The couple did not reveal whether they found the post funny or insulting, but users of the social network were quick to share their own views, many of them mechanics themselves.

One person wrote: “Low voltage electrician checks in.” I can confirm that this is the sort of thing you’ll find virtually anywhere, half-hidden from the public.

“Inside the air conditioning units, ducts sit above a soft-cover ceiling, etched into the steel pillars of the new buildings, on the side of the concrete Christy boxes. I myself like to draw silly pictures, like stick figures on islands that say, “Oh my God, you found me!” ” Thank God! I am saved! »

Another user shared that his friend did the same thing as a mechanic, but stuck to the middle finger or “wangs” – just the classic stuff back then.

While a third commented that one of his mechanic friends had discovered a message through this method, advising him not to serve the customer: “My friend who is a mechanic has a story about discovering a note ‘an old technician hiding behind the air filter who said “put everything back in place, this guy won’t pay anything.”

As expected, when the owner learned what was wrong with the car, he refused to do any work before leaving.

Another user posted: “I have a 10 year old car that has had some work done over the years. Now I wonder if I’m driving with secret messages.”

But there’s probably nothing malicious, as one user pointed out.

“If you’re not a mechanic, if you’ve never been a mechanic, or if you’re related to a mechanic, you would think it’s for the customer,” he began.

“I assure you that’s not the case, the mechanic probably never saw who the customer was and if he were to do any passive-aggressive bullshit it would be towards the stupid *** service advisors, not against the customer. It was clearly aimed at the next mechanic to find,” they added.

Don’t worry if you get insulted at your next shift, it has nothing to do with you, according to the authors themselves.

LADbible has contacted the mechanical department for comment.
