Morning fog, with increasing afternoon rain

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Get ready for a pretty dreary and humid day in North Georgia.

The morning will start with some patchy, dense fog and temperatures in the low 60s.

The area should remain mainly dry until around midday, but rain will increase in the early afternoon into the evening.

South and east Atlanta have the best chance for rain today, while areas north of the city expect more isolated showers.

A flood watch is in effect for several of our southeastern counties, including Jasper, Putnam, Morgan and Greene counties, where flash flooding is possible this afternoon through Thursday.

Temperatures today and for the remainder of the seven-day forecast will remain unseasonably warm, in the low to mid 70s.

Mornings will remain on the mild side in early November, with morning lows reaching the mid 60s.

The weather forecast remains changeable, with a chance of a few showers until early next week.
