NBA Player Props: Mavericks best bets for Game 4 of the 2024 Finals vs. Celtics

The Dallas Mavericks are officially on the verge of elimination in the 2024 NBA Finals, entering Friday’s Game 4 against the Boston Celtics 3-0. The Mavericks will try to avoid the inevitable, as no team has ever been able to overcome this deficit in the NBA playoffs. Despite playing two close games after the opener blew out, Dallas was unable to make key plays late in the game to get on the board.

Here’s a look at our favorite Mavericks player props for Game 4, with odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

Kyrie Irving on 2.5 3-pointers (+105)

After going 0-8 from behind the arc in the first two games in Boston, Irving hit four triples on six attempts in Game 3. Although he won’t admit it, it’s clear that Celtics fans have managed to shake Irving down since he left the franchise and he’s obviously more comfortable playing in Dallas. In a desperate effort, I see Irving shooting early and often, which makes me believe he will surpass that mark again tonight.

Luka Doncic less than 8.5 assists (-108)

Doncic continues to shoot a lot of shots in this offense, as he should. However, he doesn’t get many easy looks and his injuries continue to bother him. The guard should try to get his teammates more involved, but he has good reason to go it alone given the way the supporting cast has shot the ball. Doncic went below that line in two of the three games in the Finals and after all, you need someone on the other side of a pass to shoot for the assist to happen. Dallas’ other players failed to make shots, meaning Doncic will have a hard time clearing that line in Game 4.

PJ Washington over 6.5 rebounds (-122)

This has been an interesting series for Washington, who has actually played well considering his role on this Mavericks team. He averages 14.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, which is more than enough as a third option. Unfortunately, it’s not good enough against this particular opponent. The score will fluctuate for the Dallas forward, but I’ll back him to continue his strong rebound in Game 4. Washington has exceeded that mark in every Finals game thus far and should continue to attack the glass at home.
