Dubai: This experience is the closest you can get to a hot air balloon dinner – News

Dubai continues to amaze us with its offerings.

Now that temperatures are dropping, terraces are accepting visitors again. To complement that terrace experience, Jumeirah Al Qasr will introduce a unique dining experience in November with Balloons at the Palace – a unique pop-up concept that redefines afternoon tea and dinner in Dubai.

Located on the fifth floor of the iconic hotel, this whimsical environment offers guests the opportunity to enjoy their meals in hot air balloon-inspired spaces, with breathtaking panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf, Burj Al Arab and the glittering Dubai skyline.

Please note that these balloons are on the terrace, you are not really in the air, although Dubai does offer that in other places.

This imaginative dining experience offers two exclusive options: a refined Afternoon Tea in the Sky and a globally inspired five-course dinner. Both offerings combine elegant culinary arts with a sense of wonder and discovery, creating an unforgettable adventure for every guest.

For dinner, guests are invited to partake in a global journey of flavors through a carefully curated five-course menu, available from Wednesday to Sunday at 7pm for Dh395 per person (limited seating).

France: Start with Chef Kim’s Bar au Citron, a delicate sea bass carpaccio enriched with a fresh lemon dressing.

Italy: Next, enjoy Chef Beatrice’s Ravioli del Plin, with each pasta parcel gently nestled in a cognac-infused gravy.

Thailand: Chef Amara’s Lon Goong, with tiger prawns in a creamy coconut and tamarind sauce, brings to life the exotic flavors of Thailand’s spice markets.

The Levant: Chef Elias presents Sea Bass Harrah, infused with aromatic zaatar, offering a warm, rich Middle Eastern flavor.

Canada: For the main course, Chef Eric’s Maple Glazed Beef Tenderloin showcases Canada’s best flavors.

The trip ends with a sweet tribute to Dubai: Madeleine, Signature Chef Dimitri.

For those looking for a lighter experience, Afternoon Tea in the Sky is a quintessential British-inspired tea set that transports guests to the heart of London with expansive views and a serene atmosphere. With two seating options available from Wednesday to Sunday (1pm-3pm and 3.30pm-5.30pm), guests can choose from three packages, starting from Dh250 per person.
