Jordyn Evans, the Australian founder of all-natural seasoning company Mingle, recently shared in a now-viral video how much sugar is in barbecue sauce.

Jordyn discovered that just 45 grams (or an average serving of barbecue sauce) is equivalent to the sugar in 180ml of Coca-Cola.

It’s also the equivalent of more than three servings of Biscoff, a bowl of fruit loops, two and a half Tim Tams and six fingers of scotch.

“We were shocked to discover that that 45g of barbecue sauce (which we think is the normal amount to put on your sausage roll) is equivalent to the sugar found in a decent amount of these traditional sweet products! » Jordyn posted on her video.

And it didn’t take long for nearly a million people to be in complete disbelief at these comments.

“But barbecue sauce is life,” one said.

“This hurts,” said a second.

“I’m so shocked, thanks for sharing and would love to see more comparisons,” said a third.

“Oh my god this scares me,” added another.

“Hearing that hurts my soul,” one joked.

Jordyn launched Mingle in 2016 and all Mingle products are plant-based, made in Australia and contain all-natural ingredients.
