Mikel Brown Jr. receives offer from Kentucky Wildcats Basketball

Mark Pope and his Kentucky team hit the recruiting trail hard this week. This included scholarship offers handed out to Chris Cenac Jr., Niko Bundalo and now Mikel Brown Jr.

According to Overtime Elite, Brown was just offered by Kentucky and Louisville.

The Orlando (FL) native is a 6-foot-2, 165-pound point guard who plays for Overtime Elite in Atlanta (GA). Brown is ranked No. 14 overall and the No. 2 point guard in the 2025 class, according to 247 Sports. He holds additional offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Kansas, Tennessee, Florida and Michigan, among others.

Since Pope has been Kentucky’s head coach, he made another offer to Darryn Peterson and AJ Bybantsa after John Calipari left. But this week, Pope dished out some new deals, and we should expect to see plenty more in the days and weeks to come as the summer AAU circuit continues.

Hopefully, with Pope and the new team, he continues to recruit the best of the best from each year’s class while also entering the transfer portal to ensure the roster has plenty of young talent and experienced veterans in the seasons to come .
