Logan Paul tells Donald Trump how he offered to fight his brother Jake after Mike Tyson fight was postponed

YouTube star Logan Paul told how he almost fought his brother Jake in a boxing match this summer.

The social media siblings have both made the transition to boxing in recent years with major pay-per-view fights. The younger of the two has enjoyed much more success while his older brother is having a massive run in WWE where he is currently the United States Champion.

But while chatting with former President Donald Trump during a recent episode of his Impaulsive podcast, Logan recounted how he nearly instigated a rare brother-on-brother fight. Jake was scheduled to face Mike Tyson on July 20, but the fight was postponed until November, leaving a slot that he attempted to fill.

Earlier this month, news emerged that boxing icon Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up that resulted in him receiving medical treatment on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Doctors finally warned him against fighting on July 20, meaning his fight with Jake Paul was postponed until November 15.

Meanwhile, Netflix was exploring potential options alongside Most Valuable Promotions, who were organizing the fight. And Jake’s older brother, Logan Paul, publicly called out his brother on social media, and the couple appears to have agreed.

However, the fight did not happen as the broadcaster wanted to move forward with its first live boxing event featuring Mike Tyson. When asked if he ever fought his brother by former President Trump on his podcast, Logan said they didn’t even fight, but almost fought this summer.

“I was ready to replace Mike Tyson when he got sick and they had to postpone his fight,” Paul’s older brother said. “And we moved it up the chain to Netflix.”

When Trump pointed out that “it’s hard for brothers to fight,” after previously saying both were very impressive boxers, Logan responded that it wasn’t hard “on Netflix for a big old bag.” We can find out once and for all.

Trump then asked him again whether or not he liked his brother. “Well, Jake and I decided that we obviously both came from a place of love,” he replied. “And whatever the outcome, we should accept it.” »

The former president then told Paul that it would be difficult to fire shots in his brother’s face, to which he responded: “Obviously I love my brother but just once for the rest of the year. story, this night stays forever but Jake is tough, he’s good, but I’m 1-0 in the street.

Although Jake clearly has the better boxing career of the Paul brothers, it appears Logan had the more impressive pedigree when both men were high school wrestlers before fame. He had the chance to put that grappling to the test in a recent unsanctioned MMA fight with bodybuilder Bradley Martyn last week.

The two had been feuding for almost a year and finally settled it at his Zoo Culture Gym in Los Angeles. Neither man had cameras recording the altercation, but in a phone call with his brother Jake recorded by his podcast co-host Mike Majlak, he provided insight into the proceedings.

“The fight starts, I hit him with the jab,” he said. “I think he got a little mark on his face, I think, from that because that was the only punch I really hit him with.

“I hit him with the jab, he tried to knock me down and we kind of went back into a wall so he couldn’t knock me down. I took double hooks, so I went to give the bear a hug, but his weight was distributed too far back so I couldn’t get in.

“Then we kind of got in a weird position, we backed up, then he threw a punch, he missed, I went under him. Then he sort of tried to act like a guillotine and lock my head in place. So I just used that, picked up his ass and threw him to the ground.

“And then he had one arm in it, you know, with a guillotine, you’re supposed to do two? So he had a decent stance, but you’ll never catch me with one arm, so I slowly kept calm, pulled him out – full mount.

“Now I’m ready to play, and he knew it so he rolled over onto his stomach. I had a rear naked choke for a second, but he slipped, no legs – I didn’t even need it because he was flat – and then I just popped his head like a sack of speed. Bro, that shit was bouncing, it was soft too. Just bing, bing, bing.
