Willmar council on June 17 to consider contract for comprehensive plan update – West Central Tribune

WILLMAR

— The Willmar City Council will consider Monday, June 17, whether to contract with SRF Consulting to complete the city’s comprehensive plan update by the end of 2024.

The meeting takes place Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services Building, 2200 23rd St. NE in Willmar.

SRF Consulting has submitted a proposal in the amount of $21,934.63 and council is requested to approve an amount not to exceed $25,000 to account for any additional incidental costs.

SRF will assist the Planning and Development Department in designing and formatting the document, updating all information, updating the land use map, and conducting community engagement.

Other items on the agenda include an introduction to Willmar Fests royalty; cancellation of July 1, 2024 Willmar City Council meeting; approve engineering services for the 2025 and 2026 improvement projects; and, hearing reports from Community Growth Director Pablo Obregon, Parks and Recreation Director Rob Baumgarn and Planning and Development Director Christopher Corbett.
