  • Gigi Hadid is officially a redhead after being inspired by The Queen’s Gambit.

  • She debuted this look on Instagram during a recent modeling job.

It’s clear that Gigi Hadid can pull off ANY look, including one that involves ditching her signature blonde hair for red.

Her latest transformation, however, is inspired by The Queen’s Gambit, starring Anya Taylor-Joy.

Anya’s look in the Netflix series is very distinct, with her bright red hair styled in a ’50s style.

And it seems Gigi, 25, was deeply inspired while changing her locks in the last week of February.

Earlier today (March 5), the star shared a series of snaps to detail the process on Instagram. “She is devoted to everyone responsible for The Queen’s Gambit,” she wrote in one, referring to Anya’s character, Beth Harmon.

Meanwhile, in a cute final photo, Gigi could be seen sporting a sky-high ponytail with a gray scrunchie.

Gigi’s signature blonde hair was dyed bright red by hairstylist Panos Papandrianos.

Naturally, fans were quick to give their verdict.

“I’m here for the red hair era of Gigi Hadid,” one wrote on Twitter, while another said: “Something about Gigi Hadid dying her hair red seems very good to me.”

Meanwhile, the model has also recently made her return to the catwalk since giving birth to boyfriend Zayn Malik’s daughter Khai.

She participated in the Versace fall-winter fashion show, broadcast on the brand’s social media platform.

During the show, Gigi debuted her new locks alongside her sister Bella and Irina Shayk.

Her return to the catwalk comes shortly after the model opened up about the birth of her daughter.

Gigi and Zayn were initially quite private about their daughter, waiting four months to reveal her name on social media. But over the months, Gigi was not afraid to confide in her little one.

In an interview with Vogue, the star admitted she “surrendered” to the pain during her home birth – which she preferred to a hospital birth due to COVID – and that it was a positive experience. She also shared that she really wanted a natural birth: “I had to dig deep,” she explained. β€œI knew it was going to be the craziest pain of my life, but you have to surrender to it and say, β€˜It is what it is’ – I loved it.” Her doula, a former classmate, also made an appearance on Zoom.

In total, her labor lasted 14 hours and Gigi said that when her daughter finally made her entrance into the world, she didn’t realize it until she looked up and saw that Zayn was holding her in his arms.

The model added that her mother, Yolanda, and sister, Bella, were also there throughout her labor, along with a midwife and midwife assistant.

From welcoming a new life to walking the runway, she’s done almost it all.
