Coalisland: Firearms discovered after shooting

In a statement, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said the weapons were discovered by officers investigating the shooting.

“Detectives conducted numerous searches of the area yesterday and today and located a number of suspected firearms. They have been seized and will be sent for further investigation,” Detective Inspector Ryan said.

A number of imitation firearms were also discovered.

A 34-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident on Tuesday and both remain in police custody.

Police have thanked the community for their patience and have appealed for further information.
