Israeli military announces tactical pauses in Gaza for aid supplies

Jerusalem: The Israeli army announced on Sunday that it would carry out daily tactical pauses in its military activities in parts of southern Gaza to allow more aid to arrive in the enclave, where international humanitarian organizations have warns of a growing humanitarian crisis.

Fighting in the town of Rafah, where Israel is targeting the last brigades of the Islamist movement Hamas, will continue, the army said.

He said military activity would be suspended daily from 05:00 GMT to 16:00 GMT until further notice along the road leading from the Kerem Shalom crossing to the Salah al-Din road, then northwards.
