Memphis Depay has an icy two-word message on his personalized headband.

Depay wore a headband during the Netherlands’ friendlies against Canada and Iceland ahead of Euro 2024.

And he continued to wear this eye-catching headband during his team’s opening match against Poland on Sunday.

His decision to wear this headgear was criticized by the Dutch media who criticized the star striker’s attire.

But the former Manchester United player explained he opted for the headband because it helped him sweat and revealed his girlfriend was a fan of the accessory.

“In the previous match I spent 20 minutes on the press in the mixed zone and I didn’t have any questions about it,” the 30-year-old said after the Iceland match.

“Who cares? It looks great on me and helps me sweat. My girlfriend loves this headband. Amazing, right?

“It’s a new look and I feel good. I’m already thinking about what color I’m going to wear in Germany.”

Depay’s upbeat response to criticism inspired him to have the words “we care” on his headband.

As for the Group D showdown, the Netherlands came from behind to beat Poland 2-1 in Hamburg.
