Dayton trash collection schedule moved to June 16

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton residents can expect a schedule change for trash collection services this week due to a federal holiday.

Trash collection times will be shifted throughout Dayton in observance of Juneteenth, to Wednesday, June 19. Trash pickup will be assigned to Dayton, Moraine and Jefferson Township for the week of June 17.

In Dayton and Jefferson Township, trash and recycling collection that is normally scheduled for Wednesday will take place on Thursday, June 20. The collection normally scheduled for Thursday will take place on Friday June 21.

In Moraine, waste collection will take place on Saturday June 22.

Bulk and recycling collection will take place on Saturday, June 22 for Jefferson Township residents.

Customers are advised to drop off their containers at the collection points before 6:30 a.m. on the day of collection. Collection times may vary depending on staff numbers and weather conditions.
