All westbound lanes of the I-10 Katy Freeway are closed at Hogan St. after a fatal incident

Houston drivers are advised to avoid the westbound lanes I-10 Katy Highway on Hogan St. this morning after a tragic incident resulted in a complete closure.

Around 7:35 a.m., witnesses reported a man jumped from an overpass and landed on a vehicle traveling on the highway. The person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

All westbound lanes remain closed while authorities conduct their investigation, causing significant traffic delays in the area.

Houston TranStar cameras show heavy traffic congestion near the crash site. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid the area.
