Miles City woman killed in highway crash

MILES CITY – A 52-year-old Miles City woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports the woman was driving a Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Interstate 94 around 8:30 p.m. when the vehicle crossed the median and both westbound lanes at mile marker 151 before leaving the roadway. The vehicle drove down an embankment, through a fence and then crossed a private road before hitting another embankment.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt. Her name has not been released.

The patrol report states alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash.
