New ‘war room’ leak reveals half of UFC 305 lineup in Perth, Australia

The UFC has once again leaked a number of undisclosed fights due to sloppy camera work in the promotion’s matchmaking “war room.”

The “war room” is where the UFC’s top brass and matchmakers come together to determine who fights who and when. It features a giant wall with large magnetic boards, each dedicated to an upcoming Fight Night or pay-per-view card. If you’ve watched the new UFC Fight Inc. documentary series on Roku, you know all about the war room.

If it’s not the case ? Let’s just say that one wrong angle in a Dana White Instagram video can reveal the blueprints of an entire map.

This is what happened when White announced that Conor McGregor was out of UFC 303 and Pereira vs. Prochazka 2 was in it. Eagle-eyed fans noticed the magnetic board from UFC 305 on August 17 in Perth, Australia, in the background. And even though the full lineup wasn’t visible, we have half of the matches for the entire main event.

Here’s what’s shown: Half of the main event will feature Israel Adesanya. The co-principal introduces Song Yadong. Jack Della Maddalena, Steve Erceg and Drakkar Klose also feature on the card.

There is no way Adesanya returns against anyone other than middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis. And it was confirmed that Steve Erceg will fight Kai Kara-France. Dan Hooker says he’s fighting at UFC 305…could he be Drakkar Klose’s opponent? And Yadong, ranked #7 at bantamweight, is undoubtedly fighting another top 135, and there isn’t a bad fight in the top ten.

It’s interesting to see “JDM” there because he says he’s too injured to compete in August. Is the UFC still holding out hope, or is it just addicted to replacing last-minute fights at this point?

We have to say, we like what we’re seeing so far for UFC 305. What do you think of the revealed lineup, Maniacs?
