Why You Should Always Arrive Early at Your Hotel Room While on Vacation

YOU might want to get to your hotel room early, especially after being stuck on a cramped plane for hours.

But most hotels don’t start their check-in hours until the afternoon and with heavy bags under your arms and eyes, you may not want to wait.

One traveler revealed that you don’t necessarily need to wait to kill time, even if your check-in is later in the day.

You may be able to access your room early by simply showing up and asking.

A savvy vacationer posted a clever travel tip on Twitter erstwhile X, saying: “Does everyone know you can walk into a hotel before check-in time and say ‘I have a reservation today is there any chance my room will be ready? “and they will usually say sure?”

The trick may not be revolutionary, but most people won’t even take the risk and ask the question.

If you’re still wondering if it’s worth asking, other travelers have flocked to the post to share their experiences.

One person said: “It’s almost always ready early! »

Another said: “I did this in London last month. I went to the hotel to drop off my luggage in the morning.

“They asked me if I wanted to check in yet. I said of course!”

A third person added: “It’s always an option to ask for. Even if a room is not ready, you can drop off your bags and use the facilities.

“If it’s a resort type hotel, they will let you use the pool and relax while you wait. If it’s a Las Vegas hotel, I find the room is almost always ready earlier.”

Someone else agreed, saying, “As someone who probably stays in 2-4 different hotels a month, about 80% of the time I arrive early, they check me in immediately.”

Even if the hotel denies your request, you will probably still be able to wait in the lounge.

But be careful as some hotels may charge extra for early check-in and be sure to confirm beforehand.

Samantha Brown has visited at least 62 countries during her career as a television presenter.

Now she’s sharing her top tips for making every hotel stay go smoothly.

First, Samantha recommends using your room’s ironing board as a rack, table, and counter.

Second, Samantha also suggests soaking a sponge in dish soap before letting it dry.

Next, cut the sponge into small pieces that you can use for washing dishes on vacation.

If you’re bringing your kids, Samantha says you can secure your room with a roll of duct tape — or better yet, duct tape.

You can also use the tape to block flashing lights in your bedroom before bed.
