Health Sciences Applications Advisory Session offered June 27




Emergency medical services in one of Wallace State Community College’s many health sciences programs will be available for an application advising session on June 27 at 2 p.m. in the Tom Bevill Health Education Building. Other programs in the meeting will be Dental Assisting, Health Information Technology, Medical Assistant, Medical Lab Technician, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Polysomnography (Laboratory of sleep) and respiratory therapy. Participants can apply for programs with openings for fall 2024

HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Wallace State Community College Health Sciences Programs will host an application advising session on Thursday, June 27 at 2 p.m. for anyone interested in applying to programs with remaining openings for the fall 2024 semester. Old and new applicants are welcome. The meeting will be held in Room 116 on the first floor of the Tom Bevill Health Education Building.

“We encourage anyone interested in entering the healthcare field to attend this session and learn more about the programs offered at Wallace State and get an overview of the application process,” said Lisa German, vice president of Learning and Dean of Health Science. programs. “This could be particularly beneficial for students who applied to another program but were unfortunately unable to enroll. This session will show them that there are more opportunities available to them in healthcare that they may not have been aware of before.

Health sciences programs open for the fall 2024 semester include:

  • Dental assistance
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • Health Information Technology
  • Medical assistant
  • Medical laboratory assistant and medical laboratory technician
  • Occupational therapy assistant
  • Physiotherapist assistant
  • Polysomnography (Sleep Laboratory)
  • Respiratory therapy
