Michelle Keegan’s Brassic series reveals its future after cancellation rumors

The fate of Michelle Keegan’s series Brassic has finally been confirmed after rumors of a possible cancellation.

Sky has now revealed that their original comedystarring Keegan, Joseph Gilgun and Ryan Sampson, will return for a seventh series, with filming expected to begin later this year.

Not only that, but the broadcaster also confirmed that fans can get their next dose of Brassic and its sixth series on Sky Max and NOW later this year.

Co-creator Danny Brocklehurst said in a statement: “’Season seven! How did it happen?!? Brassic is a delight to make and it’s a privilege to create even more chaos for our loyal and loving audience.

Meanwhile, Alex Moody, head of comedy commissioning at Sky Studios, added: “We couldn’t be happier that Vinnie and the gang are returning for another raucous ride, bringing heart, laughs and the unrivaled swear count from Farmer Jim to Sky for a seventh. series.”

Brassic’s future has been fraught with challenges, sources say The mirror in October it seemed “unlikely” that the series would continue beyond the sixth series.

Brassic became Sky’s most successful comedy when it launched in 2019, and follows the lives of the hapless gang as they attempt to keep money in their pockets by committing various crimes, in the hope that they can one day move away from their small town.

The full cast includes Tom Hanson as Cardi, Aaron Heffernan as Ash, Ryan Sampson as Tommo, Parth Thakerar as JJ and Bronagh Gallagher as Carol.

Brassic will return to Sky Max and NOW later this year.
