Water main break creates geyser in New City

A water main break sent a powerful fountain of water shooting into the air in New City this morning, according to video footage sent to News 12.

The video, captured on Gerken Drive, shows a powerful geyser rising from the street.

Police have closed Gerken Drive while crews work to repair the broken water main. The duration of the closure is currently unknown. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
