One dead after Wednesday’s shooting in Camilla, GBI investigation

CAMILLA, Ga. (WALB) – One man has been pronounced dead following the shooting on Wednesday, October 30 in Camilla.

The shooting happened on Furlow Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Mitchell County Coroner Jamey Thompson confirmed that the victim, a 17-year-old male, died from his injuries. He was pronounced dead Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Camilla Police have confirmed that the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) is now handling the investigation.
