Reba McEntire Fans Call Out Country Star Over Stunning Election Day Message

Many celebrities issued political messages in the run-up to the 2024 elections, but… Reba McEntire wasn’t one of them. On Election DayHowever, the country star released a stunning statement that left fans all saying the same thing.

On Tuesday, November 5, McEntire, 69, went to X (formerly Twitter) to share a photo of her new hairstyle.

The update included a side-by-side look at her signature red locks – with the photo on the left showing her with a longer ‘do and the image on the right revealing a much shorter hairstyle.

“Tall or short, either way, I love being a redhead! #NationalRedheadDay,” McEntire wrote in the post on Election Day.

In the comments, fans of the “Consider Me Gone” singer suggested this wasn’t the best day to focus on her, though many were kind but firm in their responses.

Another fan said: “Reba, you know what we’re not going to do today? We’re not going to talk about your haircut.”

Someone else replied: “Now Reba, honey, I love you but today isn’t it.”

Meanwhile, others were more heated, such as one who declared, “Reba, this isn’t the damn time!”

A second exclaimed in disbelief: “really?!?!? right now?” while someone else commented: ‘We’re a little busy at the moment, Reba.’

Still, others managed to make McEntire’s decidedly non-political post about politics.

“You got that right, red, red all the way to the ballot!” A Donald Trump supporter joked, as a Kamala Harris the voter commented: “Tomorrow we celebrate redheads. Today it’s only blue heads!!!”

Over the years, McEntire has avoided endorsing a political candidate, as she reminded fans in 2021.

“Last night, an invitation to a political fundraiser using my name was sent without my knowledge or consent,” she says wrote via X. “I had and have no plans to attend this event and had informed the event organizers as such.”

McEntire added: “Throughout my career I have stated that I do not get involved in politics, and that remains true to this day.”
