VIDEO: Shocking footage of truck driving against traffic on Hungarian highway

A driver drove his truck against traffic on the M0 motorway on Sunday afternoon, RTL Híradó reported. It was only a matter of centimeters before he collided with other cars.

According to RTL, the truck spent 10 to 12 minutes on the wrong side of the highway, traveling in and out of lanes and in the hard shoulder. He traveled at least 7 to 8 kilometers before a highway inspector was able to stop him. Motorists kept waving at him with their headlights, trying to signal him, to no avail.

The ambulance spokesperson said the Polish driver, aged in his 60s, who was driving the truck, was ill, but paramedics did not have to respond to the scene. However, the man was taken to hospital due to confusion and health concerns.
