Bob Mold announces tour with “Breathing Room (Live Solo Electric)”

Bob Mold will embark on a solo tour of the United States in September and October. The musician’s Solo Electric tour is scheduled to kick off September 6 in Montgomery at New York’s City Winery Hudson Valley and conclude October 25 at The Earl in Atlanta.

Mold previewed the journey with the release of a new live recording, “Breathing Room (Live Solo Electric),” which marks his first music since 2020. A press release describes it as “one of many new songs coming soon.

“I can’t wait to bring even more new things to everyone this fall,” Mold said in a statement. “Generally speaking, the new compositions are brief, catchy and simplistic in structure. This writing cycle focuses on memorable pop songs, and I can’t wait to try out the new work in this stripped-down Solo Electric setting!

Mold also has three shows planned for July, including the Nelsonville Music Festival in Ohio and Out of Space Skokie in Illinois, which are billed as part of the Solo Electric tour. He will visit Australia and New Zealand in November and December. Tickets are available via its website.

Mould’s latest LP, Blue heartsarrived in 2022. He followed it with that of 2022 The ocean EP, which contained songs from Blue hearts as well as one of his training group Hüsker Dü.
