Cody Johnson arrested after multiple people trespass on man’s vacant property – Scoop: Nashville

Cody James Johnson, 29, was one of several people who trespassed on Malek Nabil Yafai’s Old Elm Hill Pike property around 6:51 p.m. on February 21. Yafai told responding officers that the location was vacant but that there was an active trespass waiver on file. Yafai said he wanted Johnson and the others removed from the property. Yafai also wanted to file a complaint for this event. When officers located Johnson, he told them he knew he wasn’t supposed to be there but was getting his things. Johnson said Yafai told him multiple times to stay off the property. Johnson was cited for the incident that day. Johnson was later convicted of criminal trespass on June 17.

Cody James Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee, was booked into the Nashville Metropolitan Jail on June 17, charged with criminal trespass. A court commissioner set his bond at $1,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office released him before trial.
