Pender County murder victim identified

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Pender County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in the October 29 murder case in Maple Hill.

In a news release, officers responding to a 911 call found Renteria Keith Moore and two others had been shot in the 1100 block of Maple Hill School Road in the Maple Hill area of Pender County.

Moore died as a result of injuries. The other two victims were released from the hospital.

Officers arrested 67-year-old Jesse Conroy Watkins and charged with one count of murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convict. criminal. Watkins will make his first appearance in Pender County today.
