I-70 closes at the Colorado-Kansas border due to winter weather

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas transportation officials say I-70 is closed near the Colorado border due to winter weather conditions.

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) posted a notice traffic warning via kandrive.gov on Wednesday, November 6, showing I-70 in Burlington Colorado closed due to winter conditions. Drivers should find alternate routes or stay put while the highway is closed.

The National Weather Service (NWS) station from Goodland has issued a warning for the area social media over blowing snow. Winter storm warnings and advisories are in effect for many nearby counties in western Kansas and eastern Colorado.
