The rescuer finds the owner, but remains shocked by his reaction

The shelter staff couldn’t believe their eyes when he arrived at the Priest River Animal Rescue.

A Border Collie had been left tied up outside in the hot sun.

“It’s not good !”

The poor puppy was completely terrified by what had happened to him, making it difficult for staff to approach him.

“It’s not good !”, ” the rescue wrote in a post they shared on Instagram. “He is so afraid of the traffic that we can’t even approach him,” they explained.

Eventually, after calming him down, staff were able to get the dog to safety. They immediately had him examined by a veterinarian and discovered that he had a microchip.

A shocking reaction

They contacted the owner, hoping there had been a misunderstanding. The owner picked up the phone, but it didn’t take long before he confirmed he had no plans to take the dog back. Surprisingly, they left it there on purpose!

Now Buddy has been hired into the rescue and he’s looking for his forever home. Playful, cuddly and active, he is ready for a second chance at happiness.
