With projections made in most states across the country, ABC News has predicted that former President Donald Trump will win the high-stakes presidential contest against Vice President Kamala Harris. Early Wednesday morning, Trump secured enough Electoral College votes to run for a second presidency, including by flipping the key swing states of Georgia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Law enforcement officials say they are prepared to deal with the unrest on Election Day, but expect the threat to continue in the coming days.

Election workers across the country are being bombarded with threats and law enforcement agencies across the country are devoting “substantial resources” to ensuring public safety during the election, according to a new threat assessment obtained by ABC News.

“It is more likely that in the wake of the election results and the counting of Electoral College votes, individuals who believe the election was rigged, stolen, or unfairly decided may decide to launch attacks against lone perpetrators or lone wolf. ” said Javed Ali, a former senior counterterrorism coordinator at the National Security Council and now an associate professor at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.

The FBI says the election threats appear to come from Russia

The FBI said in a statement that it was aware of the bomb threats and “many of which appear to have come from Russian email domains.”

“None of the threats have yet been determined to be credible,” the FBI said.

According to the agency, the threats are in several states.

“As always, we urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to state or local law enforcement, or submit tips to the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225- 5324) or online at tips. fbi.gov.”

Elon Musk will spend election night with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, sources say

Elon Musk is expected to spend election night with former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

As ABC News has previously reported, Trump is hosting several dinners at his private club tonight, including one with his close friends and major donors and another with club members from Mar-a-Lago, sources have told ABC News.

According to sources, Musk is expected to participate in at least one of the events taking place at Mar-a-Lago tonight.

President Biden is spending Election Day at the White House without public events

But instead of spending Election Day preparing an evening speech, the president’s daily schedule is empty except for his daily briefing by aides: no public events.

The president and first lady Jill Biden will spend election night watching the election results at the White House residence with “longtime White House aides and senior staff,” a White House official said.
