Lamine Yamal reveals good luck message from new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick

Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal has revealed he has already spoken to new coach Hansi Flick.

The striker, who is currently playing with Spain at Euro 2024, said the German sent him a good luck message ahead of the team’s opening match against Croatia.

“I spoke to him before the match. He told me good luck, that he was looking forward to the start of the season and I told him the same thing,” he told Cope.

Yamal also spoke about the differences between playing for Barcelona under Xavi and for the Spanish team under Luis de la Fuente.

“The coaches’ style of play is very different. They try to give you different things. Xavi has been much more intense and Luis de la Fuente gives me more talks and is calmer.

Yamal became the youngest player to appear at a European Championship and provide an assist as Spain opened the scoring with victory over Croatia.

La Roja are back in action on Thursday when they take on defending champions Italy.
