NEW DELHI: Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam, the Congress on Thursday said that every year it organizes a ‘grand tamasha’ of what it calls ‘Pareeksha pe Charcha ” and yet his government can’t even do that. a review without leaks or fraud.

The opposition party also asked the prime minister if he would “disclose and speak”.

The Union education ministry on Wednesday evening ordered the cancellation of the UGC-NET following reports that the integrity of the exam had been compromised.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said that every year the Prime Minister organizes a “grand tamasha of what he calls ‘Pareeksha pe Charcha'”.

“Yet his government cannot even conduct a review without leaks and fraud,” he added.

Ramesh said that the NEET UG 2024 exam faced very serious questions which even the Education Minister was forced to acknowledge.

The integrity of the National Testing Agency (NTA) is in serious doubt, he said. However, the UGC-NET organized the day before yesterday was canceled last night, he declared.

In fact, the government has ruined the Indian education system with CUET (Common University Entrance Test), which makes a mockery of Class XII exams, Ramesh said. The professionalism of NCERT, UGC and CBSE has been destroyed, he claimed.

“The New Education Policy 2020, rather than preparing the Indian education system for the future, only serves as the Nagpur Education Policy 2020,” he asserted.

“This is the legacy of the whole political science master’s degree. Will he ever ‘Leak pe Speak?'” Ramesh said.

Soon after the cancellation of the UGC-NET, the Congress on Wednesday called the Modi government a “paper leak government” and asked if the education minister would take responsibility now.

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge attacked the government over the alleged irregularities in the NEET medical entrance exam and asked when will the Prime Minister conduct the ‘NEET pareeksha pe charcha’.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also slammed the government after the education ministry ordered the cancellation of UGC-NET and demanded that responsibilities be corrected.
