Windsor police are looking for a second suspect in a violent attack downtown

Windsor police are asking for the public’s help in locating a second suspect in connection with a violent stabbing incident that occurred downtown Monday.

With one person taken into custody shortly after the attack – in which the pair allegedly stabbed a man multiple times, hit him with a metal pole and left him in critical condition – Windsor police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a second suspect.

Officers responded to a report of an assault near the intersection of Pelissier Street and Erie Street West on Monday shortly after 10:30 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 38-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment.

Investigation revealed that a verbal altercation had occurred between the victim and two other men. The exchange escalated into a physical confrontation. The two suspects allegedly stabbed the victim several times with a knife and hit him with a metal pole.

Officers are looking for the 30-year-old Skylar Scott, who is that? wanted on charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Windsor police describe Scott as an Indigenous man, approximately five feet tall, of medium build, with long, curly black hair tied in a ponytail. At the time of the incident he was wearing a gray shirt and beige trousers or shorts.

On Tuesday, officers arrested and arrested the 39-year-old Jeffrey Major in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue. Major is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
