People are shocked to discover Cascada’s real name

People are stunned after realizing that the Cascada singer is actually an Englishwoman named Natalie – and not a German as many fans previously believed.

The discovery was revealed following the 2000s pop star’s surprise appearance at Capital’s Summertime Ball at London’s Wembley Arena on Sunday.

She was walking the orange carpet and doing interviews when she stopped to speak with a Buzzfeed reporter, who was intrigued by the singer’s accent.

The reporter asked the Cascada singer, real name Natalie Horler, if she had fun, to which she replied: “Yes, it was great, I had a great time.”

Confused, the reporter said: “I didn’t know you were English. I thought you were American.

The group was famous for hits such as Everytime We Touch, Evacuate the Dancefloor and Miracle, among others. They are set to release their first album in 13 years this October.

‘Really? Actually, a lot of people think I’m German because I live in Germany,” the pop star laughed, adding that her mother is from Romford in Essex and his father is originally from Southampton.

She was then asked what her favorite thing about being British was, to which she hilariously replied: “The jokes and the relaxedness about us, you know what I mean?

After initially being shared on TikTok by journalist Saskia (@sassybynamee), it was later shared on X (formerly Twitter) by someone posting under the handle @and_rew_thom.

The video has since been viewed by more than a million people, who rushed to the replies to express their shock:

“Do you remember when she did ESC and I heard her speak an English accent for the first time? »

“I thought she was German because she represented Germany at Eurovision.”

“This is actually one of the most shocking videos I have ever seen! I don’t know what’s real anymore, like how is this accent coming from Cascada instead of a German accent.

“I expected her to be European in some way.”

“I thought she was German or something.”

“It’s even crazier that she was born and raised in Germany and never lived in England, it’s just her parents who are English.” She speaks as if she had spent her whole life in England.

‘Oh my God???’ ; ‘Oh my God ??? I legitimately thought she was German?

“I have been lied to all my life”; “Wait, that blew my mind, she even represented Germany at Eurovision.”

And fans are somewhat correct in their guesses since Natalie was born and raised in Bonn, West Germany, but her parents are English and moved to the country before she was born.

It apparently adds to the confusion that Natalie represented Germany at Eurovision in Malmö, Sweden in 2013.

Despite being one of the favorites, her song Glorious finished in 21st place with 18 points.

Speaking about Cascada’s next album, Natalie told The Sun: “It’s inspired by the era of (New York club) Studio 54. We’re doing a cover of it in a more modern disco style.

“I’m so excited because it’s been a while since I’ve done a whole album. It’s almost done.

Rather than relying on songwriters, Natalie writes her own music.

She says that while she hasn’t experienced much heartbreak herself, she draws on the experiences of her friends who have lived through these songs.

And Natalie, who is the face of the dance group, is still a huge hit on social media.

Boasting 108,000 followers, Cascada uses her Instagram page to share a host of stunning snaps, including a number of racy topless photos.

The star delighted fans when she appeared as a surprise guest at Wembley on Sunday, performing her hit Everytime We Touch alongside Jax Jones during her set – she showed off her figure in a gold and black jumpsuit with a corset.

Natasha Beddingfield also shocked fans with her surprise appearance as she took to the stage to perform her hits Unwriting and These Words.
