Charlene, usually active on social media, has not posted anything since June 12, after she showed up at Lang’ata Women’s Prison for a public event.

Kenyans noticed Charlene’s loud silence, and some even flooded her Instagram with messages asking why she was staying silent. Others asked him to join the rest of Kenyans in protests and reject the 2024 Finance Bill.

Elsewhere, YouTuber Murugi Munyi, aka Yummy Mummy, was arrested along with other protesters while demonstrating against the 2024 Finance Bill.

The podcaster was seen in an all-black outfit, led towards a police truck where other arrested protesters were gathered.

When it was her turn to board the truck, a police officer could be seen pushing her from behind inappropriately. Many Kenyans and opposition leaders from the Azimio La Umoja One coalition criticized the police for the way they treated the protesters.

Still on issues related to the 2024 finance bill, content creator Dem wa Facebook believed that content creators should be exempt from taxes, denouncing the lack of jobs on the part of the government.
