Students: Students protest against cancellation of UGC NET

LUCKNOW: Students of Lucknow University affiliated to National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha (SCS) and Students’ Federation of India (SFI) on Thursday organized a protest at the main entrance of the university against the cancellation of UGC NET by the Ministry of Education. .

Students said the cancellation of exams was a waste of work, resources and time. “Thousands of students visit exam centers in remote areas, in scorching heat, just to fulfill their dreams of becoming teachers. The authorities, it seems, have not thought of the hard work done by the students,” said a student, Akansha Azad, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
