Major SI Exam Paper Leak Scandal: Arrests and Ongoing Investigation Rock Rajasthan | Jaipur News

Jaipur: An investigation by the state police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) has revealed that Ramu Ram Raika, a former member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), provided his son and daughter with all three different sets of question papers for the Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment Exam 2021.
Raika, who was arrested along with his son Devesh and daughter Shobha in September, received the question papers well in advance, about a month before the SI exam held in September 2021, a senior SOG official said.
There were three different sets of question papers with a total of 300 questions. However, only one set was intended to be distributed to the candidates, who did not know which set would be given to them. But Shobha and Devesh had given access to all possible queries,” the official said on condition of anonymity.
It is also suspected that Raika, who worked with another arrested RPSC member Babu Lal Katara, may have been involved in a wider conspiracy. An SOG official said, “The exam paper was leaked well before the exam. We suspect that the paper leak trail goes all the way up. This aspect also needs to be further investigated.”
The key people who facilitated the paper leak are being investigated. SOG recently filed a fifth complaint in the case against Raika, his son and daughter, and Katara.
These revelations have intensified scrutiny of the SI 2021 exam, with increasing demands for cancellation of the exam and its results due to widespread concerns about the exam’s integrity. The government has formed a ministerial committee to examine the future of the SI exam and is believed to have submitted its findings, which are awaiting final approval.
Sources said the ongoing investigation has unearthed more facts about the involvement of additional suspects in the paper leak.
